The International Society of Oral Oncology Continuing Education (ISOO CE) sessions will be once again an important part of the MASCC/ISOO meeting in Washington D.C. in June.
Three different sessions will be held on Saturday 24 June, covering diverse topics in oral oncology such as:
The management of acute and long term oral problems experienced by paediatric patients including the complex issue of maxillofacial reconstruction in this patient group.
The second session on the day will revisit the very topical area of osteonecrosis of the jaws - particularly with respect to assessment, management and risk reduction; both osteoradionecrosis and medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws will be addressed.
The third and final session of the program is a first for the ISOO CE course, specifically highlighting current research in the area of oral oncology and giving the opportunity for some new faces to contribute to the ISOO session with some proffered papers.
There will be time for discussion and audience participation within each session as well as the presentation of the ISOO Distinguished member awards.
